Collaborative Efforts Lead to Arrest of Five Suspects and Unveiling of AK-47 in Katsina State Operation

In a triumph against criminal activities, collaborative efforts between Katsina State Police Command and vigilant community members result in the arrest of five suspects in Bakori LGA. The operation, conducted on December 19, 2023, unveiled an AK-47 rifle in the possession of the apprehended individuals during an intelligence-led patrol in the Kakumi area.

The suspects, identified as Sharhabilu Dahiru, Abubakar Tukur, Kasamanu Abdullahi, Abdulrahman Shu'aibu, and Sulaiman Sanusi, all aged 20-25, confessed to stealing the firearm from Jamilu Lawal, alias "Kifda." Lawal is now under investigation for his connection to the prohibited weapon.

Commending the public's continuous support, the Commissioner of Police emphasized the significance of community vigilance in ensuring the safety and security of residents. As the investigation progresses, all suspects remain in custody, reflecting the commitment of the police command to maintaining public safety.
